Job description:

Join the Club. Farina's Restaurant Group is looking for energetic team members to join our team.

Hostess Responsibilities:

• Full-time and part-time positions available with year-round employment
• Greet incoming and departing guests warmly with a smile and eye contact
• Seat guests at tables or in waiting areas
• Provide guests with menus and answer any initial questions
• Inform guests of who will be serving them to ensure a smooth handoff to the service staff
• Answer telephones, take orders, messages and reservations
• Available to work a variety of hours, days and shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Ability to multi-task calmly and effectively in a busy, fast-paced environment
• Manage the flow of guests into the dining and bar areas, provides accurate wait times to incoming guests if appropriate
• Observe guests’ needs throughout dining experience to ensure they receive high quality service
• Assign guests to tables they prefer, while keeping table rotation in mind so that servers receive fair seating
• Respond to complaints and help to resolve them calmly and quickly
• Have a thorough knowledge of the menu
• Assist with other positions in the restaurant as needed
• Provide great customer service

Hostess Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
• Ability to provide top-notch customer service in a fast-paced environment
• A positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure with all restaurant staff
• Perform high-quality work performance while unsupervised
• Able to work in a standing position for long periods of time
• Able to safely lift and easily maneuver trays of food when necessary
• Willing to follow instructions and ask questions for clarification if needed
• Able to handle money accurately and operate a point-of-sale system
• Able to work in a busy restaurant environment
• Must be able to lift and carry trays or supplies (10-30 lbs.)
• Restaurant experience a plus
